In a recent interview on “Curiosity Made Me Ask” with online personality Isbaeu, renowned singer and songwriter Brymo stirred controversy with bold statements regarding his career choices and past actions.

Known for his distinctive style and lyrical prowess, Brymo expressed a strong reluctance to sign with fellow Afrobeat giants Wizkid, Burna Boy, or Davido.

In the interview, which surfaced online on Saturday, April 6, 2024, Brymo recalled an incident where he arrived late to a scheduled event and, instead of apologizing, made a crude remark directed at his fans. When asked if he would consider signing with one of the mentioned artists’ record labels as a gesture of apology to Nigerians and a sign of change, Brymo vehemently refused.

“I would rather go to hell,” Brymo asserted, underscoring his stance against aligning himself with any of the aforementioned artists. He clarified that his previous comment was intended as a joke and insisted it was a one-time occurrence.

The singer expressed concern that the incident, which happened three years ago, continues to resurface, indicating a lingering impact on his reputation. Despite his efforts to clarify his intentions, Brymo finds himself grappling with the lasting repercussions of his words.

As the debate surrounding his controversial statements persists, Brymo remains focused on his music career while navigating the complexities of public scrutiny.
