Thomas Partey absent as Ghana confirms AFCON 2023 27-man squad
Homas Partey has been left off of the list as Ghana announced the 27-man team that will compete for the nation at AFCON 2023 during a press conference.
During today’s press conference on Monday, January 1, 2023, Black Stars of Ghana head coach Chris Hughton disclosed that Thomas Partey was left off the squad because of his injury concerns.
It was disclosed that the midfield player for Arsenal has only recently returned to training and is not ready to play for the team. Tariq Lamptey of Brighton was likewise left off the roster, giving local players another chance to compete on a major platform.
