Omotoke Suliyat, a final year student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta has been reported dead.




According to reports, the HND2 Marketing Department student collapsed in the washroom and was brought to Hope Hospital in Adigbe, where she was pronounced dead on Sunday, June 13.

Rt. Hon. Yusuf Olatunji Mogaji, Speaker of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic’s Students’ Representative Council (SRC), verified the tragedy and conveyed his profound sympathies to the student’s family.


Meanwhile, friends and loved ones have taken to social media to express sadness over her demise.

 

In other news, the EFCC Boss, Abdulrasheed Bawa has stated that he has been receiving life-threatening messages since he was appointed chairman of the anti-graft agency.

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) made this known in an interview on Channels Television’s breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily.

He recounted how someone who is not tackled by the anti-graft agency threatened to end his life. The EFCC Chairman said;

“Last week I was in New York. A very senior citizen received a phone call from somebody who is not even under EFCC investigation. What he said to him is that I am going to kill the EFCC boss, the young man.

“This to tell you how real corruption can fight back. Yes because if you look at it, almost everywhere there are elements of it (corruption), but I am very optimistic we will succeed in taming the monster of corruption in this country.”
