Alhaji Ajuji Ahmed has been appointed as the acting national chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). His appointment took place at the party’s national convention held at the A-Class Event Centre in Maitama, Abuja, on Saturday.

The convention was attended by members of the National Working Committee (NWC), the National Executive Committee (NEC), state chairpersons, and federal and state lawmakers. At the convention, the party’s constitution, slogan, and logo were also approved.


Speaking at the event, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the party and its national leader, expressed the NNPP’s commitment to bringing positive change to the nation. He highlighted the party’s focus on education as a means to alleviate poverty and ensure security.

Kwankwaso emphasized the party’s dedication to unity, fairness, and justice for all its members and supporters. Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State also expressed gratitude to those who supported the party during campaigns and legal battles, noting the NNPP’s significant presence in Nigeria’s political landscape.
