

Sonya Eddy, who was best known for playing Epiphany Johnson on the ABC serial series “General Hospital,” has passed away at the age of 55.
She was born on June 17, 1967, in Concord, California, and started acting in college while studying dance and theater at the University of California, Davis. Although she started acting in 1990 with Ruby Dee’s production “Zora Is My Name,” she earned her bachelor of arts degree in 1992. Among Eddy’s additional stage performances are “The Comedy of Errors,” “Into the Woods,” as The Witch, and “South Pacific,” as Bloody Mary.

On June 17, 1967, Eddy was born in Concord, California. She was 55 years old when she passed away.
At the University of California, Davis, she majored in dance and theater and graduated with a B.A. in 1992. Eddy worked as a registered practical nurse.
In 1990, Eddy made her acting debut[where] in the play Zora Is My Name by Ruby Dee. The Comedy of Errors, The Witch in Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods, and Bloody Mary in South Pacific were among her other theatre performances.
