Pastor Jonah O. Anosike was a man of God who possessed the gift of prophecy, was a prayer warrior, and was a renowned deliverance Minister with an extraordinary unction for healing. He was named after the Region that supervises the entire Christ Apostolic Church in Europe, and the Region was named after him. In addition to that, he was a fantastic holiness preacher.

He was born at Ibeku, which is located in Umuahia Ndume, which is now a part of Abia State. According to the criteria of his era, he was considered to have a high level of education because he had completed Standard Three of his education. He was an accomplished polyglot since he was proficient in four of the most common languages. He was fluent in Igbo, which was his native language, as well as Yoruba, Hausa, and English.


In 1946, he joined the Christ Apostolic Church as a member of the congregation. In 1959, he received the number 115 as the ordination registration for the position of Pastor. He had been living in the North for a good number of years when he was married to an Igbo lady who had been delivered by a Prophetess who was also a midwife. His mother-in-law was also a Prophetess, and she lived in the Northern region at the time. The mother-in-law had a vision one day in 1956 in which she was instructed to go and plant CAC in the land that she was originally from, the Igbo. She moved to Owerri after leaving the North.

They decided to move to Owerri together because Pastor Anosike had married the family’s sole daughter. At Owerri, they established the very first CAC colony assembly. After leaving the original site, they relocated to Wetheral Road. They established a large number of additional CAC communities in Owerri.

When some time had passed, Pastor Anosike became the leader of the movement inside the church that demanded the establishment of Owerri as a district administrative division. In the end, Owerri wound up being designated as Section 1.

The position of District Superintendent has been elevated to Pastor Anosike. After working as a District Superintendent for a period of time at CAC Wetheral road, he was eventually promoted and sent to Enugu. Now, the Wetheral Road Church serves as a headquarters for the DCC.

He received even another promotion and is now the Associate General Superintendent. Moreover, he relocated to Enugu to take the position of Chairman of Section E. He was extremely devoted to the officials of the church in Ibadan, and he was one of those who stayed steady when a specific Pastor Godwin broke away from CAC and took the Church branches to create Christ Ascention Church. He was a faithful follower of the church in Ibadan.

On October of 1992, Pastor Anosike entered retirement, yet he continued his ministry until the day he passed away in 2004.
