Borussia Dortmund are moving on to the next round of the FIFA Club World Cup after beating Monterrey 2-1 in a tough match.

The star of the game was Serhou Guirassy, who scored two goals early in the first half. His first goal came in the 14th minute after a great team play. Just ten minutes later, he scored again after Monterrey made a mistake in defence. By halftime, Dortmund were winning 2-0.

But Monterrey didn’t give up. In the second half, Germán Berterame scored with a nice header to make it 2-1. He even scored again later, but the second goal was cancelled because he was offside—thanks to a VAR check.

Monterrey kept trying to score again, but Dortmund’s goalkeeper Gregor Kobel made sure they didn’t. Dortmund stayed strong until the final whistle.

With this win, Dortmund are through to the quarter-finals and will face Real Madrid on July 5 at the MetLife Stadium in New York.
