After stating last month that she will not seek a contract extension beyond India’s tour of England, which concludes with the final of three ODIs at Lord’s on September 24, Lisa Keightley will quit the position she has held for three years.

WBBL coaching debut with Sixers

After leading Vipers to back-to-back domestic 50-over championships in 2020 and ’21 and winning the 20-over Cup named after her in June, Edwards will make her WBBL coaching debut with Sixers in the upcoming tournament. In the first two years of the competition, she twice led Southern Brave to the women’s Hundred final.

Edwards led her nation to three Ashes victories in 2008, 2013, and 2014 as well as the 50-over and T20 World Cups in 2009. She is England’s top run-scorer in women’s ODIs and T20Is.
